NYC - Standardized Bed Definitions This crosswalk document provides a framework for categorizing bed into five categories to assist with bed matching during response. It provides an explanation and requirements for each of the five bed categories in addition to providing space to capture hospitals and associated bed types. This may serve as a useful starting point for discussions around standardized bed definitions during surge preparedness and response.
